Well this just tickled me so much at work today I had to post about it.
I'm sitting at my desk at work doing what I do, which is IT stuff. This very nice lady I work with comes over and says, "I know its not your job, but I was wondering if you could help me." Sure, I say. She presents me with an electronic stapler and says it wont work. "I know you build airplanes so maybe you can figure it out", she says. I chuckle and say sure, why not! So I gave it a shot and got it working. Its not a big deal really and it wasnt rocket science but its not the first time someone has made a comment or had some kind of expectation of me being able to do stuff simply because I'm building a plane so therefore everything else short of that should be childs play. I think thats pretty neat. Building this plane has enrichened my life in ways that I didnt expect and is very rewarding so far and we arent even finished yet!
