We had door strut brackets that were aftermarket and made of nylon or maybe Delrin and those would wear out and break eventually. I had some aluminum replacements on hand and changed out the right side door bracket but the other day while at the fuel pump the left one gave out. It lasted 8 years before it broke. The replacement was a bit tricky because the tops of the screws got painted over so I had to dig out the paint and try to get the bracket out of the way of the carbon fiber overhead. I got them out and plugged the little gap that was created with some black RTV. Good to go again!
