We were SO excited to go back to Oshkosh after having missed a year due to it being canceled from Covid in 2020. We had all the usual fun with friends old and new ranging from lots of Kid Venture activities, letting Lucy play with friends, and roaming around and enjoying it all. AirVenture was punctuated by a hasty departure to avoid disastrous incoming weather that got interrupted by a flat tire and a rescue mission from our good friends Sean and Scott (thanks again so much guys!!!).
We launched out Wednesday mid-day and enjoyed a really great afternoon at Mackinac Island. We rode a horse and carriage into town and enjoyed the peaceful and quiet atmosphere full of sunshine and fun. We grabbed pizza and fudge and let the kids run around on a grassy null below the fort on top of the hill. It was all so picturesque and wholesome. After way too short a visit, we launched out that evening to head for Ohio to visit our good friends Ben, Mari, and Max. We enjoyed several days with them before finally returning home, exhausted, but happy.
