Got my cross country flight crossed off with a nice trip out to Gadsden, AL (KGAD), down to Tuskegee (06A), and then back towards KFFC. I was a little nervous because this was a for reals adventure on a filed IFR flight plan. Most of my training leading up to this had not involved ATC and I didn't want to mess up the communication. It turned out to be just fine and I think I handled everything fairly well. Whew!
We stopped at 06A for fuel and saw a really cool fire fighting airplane.
Cross country completed.
