Lucy had her last hockey tournament of the season and this time Jacksonville, FL hosted. We had a nice easy flight down to Jacksonville Executive Craig Airport (KCRG). We were cleared over the top of ATL through some cloudy weather and I got to put the instrument rating to work. We had an AirBnB that we shared with hockey friends who also had daughters in the tournament and had a great time as usual. The girls played hard but lost their games in the tournament. We enjoyed amazing BBQ after the game Saturday evening and there was a cool play area with a chalkboard wall that the girls got to doodle on. Sunday morning we got a little breakfast and one of Lucy's friends got to fly back with us on the 2 hour flight instead of the nearly 6 hour drive. It was nice having her company as the girls kept each other entertained the entire flight back. Once again the instrument rating was key as we departed through a pretty thick layer of clouds and got routed around a developing storm cell. Once we landed back home the girls ran off some pent up energy in the grass area while I tucked bubbles back into her hangar. Another great mission in the books!
